The buccal fat pad removal consists of the elimination of the fat in the area of the jugal bone. It is performed through a small incision inside the mouth.
The main goal is to improve the face definition, by accentuating and sculpting the contour of the “cheekbones” or malar prominence.

The surgery is performed in an ambulatory care regime, with a post-op care without visible scars and with an oedema which recedes after a few days.
