Mastopexy

Mastopexy allows lifting and repositioning of the breast, with or without prosthesis, and also removal of the excess of skin. This is indicated for those cases of moderate/severe breast ptosis which are the result of weight variations, breastfeeding or aging. There are several different techniques available, with different scar patterns. The choice of the most adequate technique depends on the clinical evaluation for each patient and it is decided during the pre-op consultation. Surgeon tries to choose the technique that leaves smaller and less visible scars, with more natural and proportional results.

Drains are not used. An ambulatory surgery is chosen and the patient can go home after a few hours. The sutures are intradermal, with reabsorbable thread. In this way, it is not necessary to remove stiches during the post-op period.
